We offer educational workshops to schools and groups to further education and a love of reading.

Our "Uh-oh!" Said workshops are based on the KS1 English and Geography national curriculum, but can also be tailored to suit KS2 groups.

Our debut "Uh-oh!" said Flo plastic pollution workshop was held as part of the 2019 Storytale Festival. Our event was over subscribed and received fantastic response and engagement.

We mainly offer in person workshops but have and can offer virtual sessions for those out of our local radius or who require online options.

Our online sessions can be run as part of a larger event, as a private session for a group or a public virtual event.

We have hosted online fundays with over 200 attending responses, run sessions for other educational small businesses such as Eco Action Families, and were featured in the 2020 Big Book Weekend with the BBC and Arts Council England.

The session comes with 12 worksheets to be used during the workshop and for extended classroom or homework learning, a video to further evaluate the plastic pollution issue, 5 alphabet animal posters, a learning evaluation activity to be completed post workshop and a certificate for each child.

Focusing on the key English curriculum point of developing  'strong command of the spoken and written language, and to develop their love of literature through widespread reading for enjoyment', the session focuses on making reading and comprehension fun and engaging. Combining reading for pleasure and information, our workshop works on the skills of listening, discussing and justifying answers, while the extended vocabulary used in the book will also challenge new vocabulary.

We also touch upon the key aims of the Geography curriculum for KS1 and KS2, 'developing knowledge of the world’s significant places on land, and under the sea', as we look at the animals and habitats found under the sea. Utilising our journey map, which illustrates where Flo travels on her journey across the sea we can discuss places, environments and the climate impact of our actions under the sea.

"Uh-oh!" said Snuffles Workshop
